Kingfisher’s Lodge is located only a 6 minute helicopter ride from the Kelowna International Airport or a 30 minute car ride. Kingfisher prides itself on a personalized approach to the small group heli skiing. You can land in Kelowna and be skiing in the Monashee Mountains by the afternoon. The wide variety of terrain and large snowfalls allows Kingfisher to customize the skiing experience. The experienced guides take you to the best skiing from steep pillows to open alpine terrain to the famed Monshee tree skiing! The small groups help customize the experience to make sure your dream heli ski vacation comes true.
Terrain:
Kingfisher Heli Skiing is located in the Central Monashee Mountains of British Columbia which has long been known for their large snowfalls and unsurpassed tree skiing. This area averages over 60ft of snowfall each year, and because of it location it is famed for dry, deep, powder skiing. Kingfisher has ski runs up to 4,500 vertical feet and a wide variety of terrain. Though the Monshees is known for its tree skiing Kingfisher also has wide open alpine terrain and the quality of snow is unbeatable! With 300,000 acres within the Kingfisher tenure there is a little bit of something for everyone. When the maximum amount of guests for this terrain is twelve there is plenty of untracked snow for everyone.
Group Configuration:
The heli ski packages have three skiers and two guide per group. The small guest to guide ratio increases safety and helps provide a better heli skiing experience. The Pinnacle package is the most exclusive with three skiers in one helicopter, there is also the Vertical package which is two groups of three sharing one helicopter and the Vertical 9 where there are three groups of three sharing a helicopter. Kingfisher has a maximum of twelve guests at one time and offers 3, 4, and 7 day packages.
