Tordrillo Mountain Lodge has access to 1.2 million acres of skiable terrain. This provides endless amounts of terrain options for a variety of different types of skiers and boarders. Whether you are looking for wide open alpine bowls or steep couloirs Tordrillo Mountain Lodge will find the terrain that best fits your skiing ability. The Tordrillo Mountain Range is known for consistent snowfall (600 inches per year) and generally stable weather which allow for great heli skiing conditions. The panorama views of the Alaskan Range including Denali (The highest peak in North America) makes the heli skiing and boarding even more spectacular. With runs averaging 3,000 ft your legs will be burning by the end of the day!

Group Configuration:

Tordrillo Mountain Lodge uses A-Star helicopters, which are known for their power and speed. Making it the perfect helicopter for heli skiing. These helicopters hold 4 guests and 1 guide. There is a maximum of 3 groups at one time. The small groups allow for better movement through the mountains as well as maximizing your skiing time!

Main Lodge

MAIN LODGE

Alaska Heli skiing The main lodge has the architecture of a rustic Alaskan lodge, but with luxurious modern amenities. The lodges and cabins accommodates twelve guests and as of 2017 all of the guest rooms have newly renovated bathrooms. The lodge has three different common spaces and spectacular views of the surrounding mountains. After an exciting day on the mountain relax in your comfortable guest room, enjoy a professional massage, or soak in the day in the outdoor hot tub. There is also a yoga building which includes an exercise room as well as a sauna. Tordrillo Mountain Lodge also includes gourmet meals sourcing local seafood and produce whenever possible. There is also a 500 bottle wine cellar at the Main Lodge to find the perfect bottle of wine to accompany your gourmet dinner. Whether you are relaxing next to the fire or enjoying an apres ski cocktail Tordrillo Mountain Lodge serves as the perfect Alaskan heli ski lodge. Your stay at Tordrillo Mountain Lodge begins with a pickup from the Anchorage Airport and transportation and accommodation at Hotel Captain Cook.

The next morning you will be flown by float plane into the Tordrillo Mountain Lodge for 7 nights and 7 days of an epic Alaskan heli ski adventure.

Lodge 2

Located on the same property as the main lodge at Tordrillo Mountain Lodge, but on the far end of the lake and provides a more exclusive experience. Lodge 2 hosts up to eight guests per week in eight comfortable guest rooms. The lodge’s modern design includes floor to ceiling windows in the comfortable common room to enjoy the spectacular views of the surrounding mountains. This private lodge also includes a private chef that prepares gourmet meals with fresh ingredients as well and fully stocked bar and a large selection of fine wines.

The outdoor wood fired hot tub or a professional massage is a great way to unwind at the end of a great day heli skiing in the Tordrillo Mountains.

Lodge 2 also provides a more exclusive heli skiing program as well. Lodge 2 has an A Star helicopter that is separate from the main lodge. This gives the guests a semi private heli skiing experience. There will only be two groups of four guests using this helicopter which means more flexibility in the heli ski program. This is perfect program for a group of eight friends and family, or for someone looking for a more private heli skiing program in Alaska.

Getting There

Getting There and Away:

Trips run from Saturday to Saturday so guests will need to arrive in Anchorage some time on Friday. Anchorage is an international airport that has direct flights from many US cities as well as Frankfurt and Iceland. Once guests arrive in Anchorage transportation will be provided to the Hotel Captain Cook for the evening. In the morning guests will be taken to Lake Hood where a float plane will be there to transport guests to the lodge to begin your heli skiing and boarding adventure!
