As the weather begins to change and fall approaches in British Columbia everyone’s mind beings to shift towards wintertime. The cooler crisp air means that winter and more importantly ski season is just around the corner. At Powder Guides we are fortunate to have all of our uniforms provided by one of the top outdoor clothing company’s in the world. Mountain Hardware has a long standing tradition of making techincal outwear perfect for all of our wintertime adventures. Since we spend so much time exploring the mountains not only in British Columbia, but throughout the world it is paramount that our technical outerwear will provide long lasting protection from the elements. From heli skiing deep in the Coast Mountains, to ski touring in Japan, to multi day traverses in the interior mountains of British Columbia, our guides rely on Mountain Hardware to provide the outerwear that will protect us from the ever changing weather and mountain conditions.

Cloud Seeker Jacket

The Cloud Seeker jacket is built with the 20D 3 layer seam sealed waterproofing technology. The air permiable material allows for more breathablity while still providing protection from the winter elements. The lightweight stretch design allows for freedom of movement while wearing the jacket, and easy packability. The outside of the jacket has two large stash pockets built so not to interfer with wearing a pack or harness. As well as vents near the rear of the upper arm for extra air flow. This jacket is the perfect option for all your backcountry adventures. The fresh bud color will make sure you stand out while floating through the fresh snow on those deep powder days.

Cloud Seeker Bibs

Mountain Hardware’s new cloud seeker bibs provide a nice fresh twist on bib designs. The vest combines with the cloud seaker pants to make the ultimate backcountry bib design. The pants are 60D 3 Layer 4-way strech material and combined with a lightweight breathable vest. Add a baselayer under the vest and you have the perfect ski touring combination. These bibs will also protect you from the snow on those deep powder days! The front pockets are perfect for stashing your map and some snacks while in the backcountry and the side zips provide some extra air flow when you are working hard!



Cloud Seeker Gloves

Also a new design this year, we love the new cloud seeker trigger mitt gloves.This mitt provides extra dexterity without compromising the warm of a traditional mitt. This is perfect for the cold winter ski days when mitts are necessary, but feel restrictive. These mitts are insulated with Thermal.Q™ Elite 100 g/m² and have a palm fabric of DWR Drum Dyed Goat Leather. The two cinching cuff is designed to keep snow out and the soft nose wipe provides a little extra comfort. These gloves passed our riggerous testing with flying colors!
