Overview:
Patagonia Heli Ski is located in central Patagonia based out of the small town of Cholila, Argentina. There are no other commercial operations and plenty of untouched and unexplored heli-skiing terrain. Heli-skiing in Patagonia is unlike skiing anywhere else in the world. The Andes Mountains of Patagonia is full of unbelievable beauty and natural wonder. With access to over a million acres of terrain, Patagonia Heli-Skiing has terrain to fit a variety of skiers and boarders from open bowls, and alpine meadows, to steep glacier runs. This is the new frontier of heli-skiing in the Southern Hemisphere. It is full of remote terrain, towering granite spires, and first descents just waiting to be skied.
Terrain:
Patagonia has a wide variety of terrain options. With a tenure of over a million acres, there is something to suit a wide variety of skiers. There are wide open bowls and long glaciers runs with unbelievable scenery. As well as beautiful couloirs, steep alpine descents, and excellent tree skiing. Much of the terrain is located just a short flight from the lodge, but there is always the option to fly further and explore more! There is still plenty of terrain that is left to explore and claim the first descent.
Group Configuration:
Patagonia Heli-Skiing uses AStar helicopters, which are of the highest standard for mountain flying. The helicopter allows for 4 guests, 1 guide, and 1 pilot. All of the weeks are private with the option to have anywhere from 4 -12 guests. There is a week-long program that has 6 skis days so that you can maximize your skiing or a shorter mini week that has 3-day skiing option.
