Overview

Ripley Creek Inn is not like other luxury heli-skiing lodges that you will find throughout British Columbia. Ripley Creek Inn is located in the small, funky town of Stewart, BC. Ripley Creek has one of the largest heli-skiing tenures in the world. The terrain is steeper and more rugged making it a good choice for seasoned heli skiers. There are long tree runs that will make your legs burn and massive glaciated alpine slopes. The mix of alpine and treed terrain provides quality skiing all winter long. The massive tenure allows for endless amounts of skiing in deep powder.

Terrain:

Ripley Creek is all about the skiing. With a vast tenure of 10,100 square km, there is plenty of heli-skiing. The massive tenure allows access to a huge variety of ski terrain. From steep trees to long, outstanding alpine runs, Ripley Creek as a little of everything. Add to that a snowfall average of 15 to 20 meters means there is plenty of powder skiing! Ripley Creek is known for its steep and challenging terrain and is a great choice if you are looking for more aggressive heli-skiing.

Ripley Creek The small groups of four guests and one guide per group allows you to move more efficiently through the huge tenure. There are up to three groups in an A-Star B2 or B3 helicopter with a certified guide

Heli Ski Safari

Can’t decide between Last Frontier’s two lodges: Ripley Creek and Bell 2? Why not explore both? The safari program allows you to explore even more terrain as well as experience both Ripley Creek Inn and Bell 2 Lodge. This 7-day program starts with the steep runs of Ripley Creek deep in the Coast Mountains and then ski your way to Bell 2 (which is 90 km away!). Ending your trip to the heli-ski village of Bell 2 skiing the high alpine glaciers of the Skeena Mountains. If 7 days isn’t enough, there is also a 10-day option with a ground transfer between lodges.

Ripley Creek Inn

Ripley Creek Inn is a funky lodge in the heart of downtown Stewart. It consists of a collection of heritage buildings that have been revitalized to create the rustic charm of Ripley Creek Inn. No two rooms are alike. Each room has an ensuite bathroom and comfortable beds. The lodge holds up to 24 guests. Meals are served across the street at the Bitter Creek Cafe that is known for its soulful food that captures the funkiness of Stewart. The cafe also doubles as the bar. There is an onsite hot tub and sauna to relax your tired muscles. Ripley Creek Inn is all about no-frills comfort with an emphasis on skiing. Though this isn’t your typical heli-ski lodge the skiing at Ripley Creek isn’t your typical heli-ski terrain. This is a true heli-skiing adventure in Northern BC along the Alaskan Panhandle.

Getting There

Getting There and Away:

Ripley Creek Inn may be deep into the Coast Range, but getting there isn’t too difficult. First, you will fly into Vancouver International Airport. There are direct flights to Vancouver from all over the world. From here you will fly to either Terrace or Smithers in Northern BC. From there you will take a four-hour ground transfer to the Ripley Creek Inn. Where steep trees and huge glaciated runs await you.
