In the realm of alpine heli-skiing, Bella Coola claims the title of Canada’s premier destination. Here, ski runs average a breathtaking 6,000 feet in descent, with the most extended slopes stretching a staggering 7,000 feet! The landscape unfolds with wide-open alpine bowls, dramatic steep spines, winding couloirs, and the stunning expanse of glaciers, inviting skiers to carve their stories into its powder-laden canvas.

Nestled within the rugged Coast Range of British Columbia, Bella Coola averages an annual snowfall ranging from 20 to 30 metres, ensuring both abundance and consistency. The predictability of the snowfall makes for a favourable and stable snowpack allowing access to ski more interesting and diverse terrain. And when Mother Nature decides to play, there’s no shortage of exhilarating tree skiing to keep the adventure alive!

Group Configuration

Bella Coola Heli Skiing places a singular emphasis on creating intimate and memorable experiences. With just four guests per group, the focus is on maximizing your adventure’s flexibility, fostering group camaraderie, and unlocking the full potential of Bella Coola’s expansive terrain.

Additionally, with a maximum of two groups sharing a  A- star helicopter, you can rest assured that your heli-skiing escapade will be as exclusive and personalized as the pristine wilderness that surrounds you.

Located on 60 private acres in The Great Bear Rainforest, Tweedsmuir Park Lodge accommodates up to 20 guests weekly in charming timber-frame chalets. Helicopters land on the central lawn. Chalets typically have a queen bed on the ground level, some have king beds, and all include a gas fireplace, thermostat, and en-suite bathroom.

The property borders the pristine Atnarko River, allowing for fly-fishing when not skiing. Tweedsmuir Park Lodge is renowned as one of the world's premier grizzly bear habitats.
