Greenland Heli-Skiing

An unparalleled heli-skiing odyssey, where pristine landscapes, first descents, and the thrill of Arctic adventure converge

Heli Skiing in Greenland offers one of the most unique heli skiing adventures in the world. The combination of the remote untouched terrain, wildlife, and local culture makes heli skiing in Greenland, unlike any other heli ski experience. The days are spent making long ski descents from the top of mountains rising out of the North Atlantic down to the iceberg filled ocean.Greenland offers extraordinary ski terrain in a spectacular setting.

Your Destination

Greenland Heli Skiing is located on the country’s east coast in the Ammassalik region. The coastline, deep fjords dotted with floating icebergs, boasts towering mountain ranges, making this destination one of the world’s most remote and spectacular places to heli-ski.

Terrain

Ski terrain in Greenland encompasses everything from vast glaciated slopes to sea-to-summit chutes and couloirs. There’s a wide variety of terrain, satisfying any skier except for those looking to ski in the trees – there aren’t many in the Arctic. Though few mountains are higher than 2,000 meters, they rise directly out of the sea, offering unbelievable views and long ski runs.

March and May are prime heli-ski times with a deep, stable snowpack and long days under the midnight sun to explore seemingly endless terrain. This largely uncharted location continues to provide opportunities for first descents, attracting skiers to this arctic haven.

Group Configuration

On our Greenland Heli-Skiing program, there are four guests and one guide per group, with up to two groups sharing a helicopter. The maximum number of weekly guests is 8 guest in one helicopters utilizing an B3 A star helicopter.
