The mountains in Iceland rise from the Arctic Ocean, creating an unforgettable heli-skiing experience. Ski 1,200-meter runs from mountain tops to the ocean floor. With no tree skiing, the alpine terrain offers incredible diversity, from steep slopes to wide-open bowls and long glacier runs. The coastal snowpack provides stable conditions ideal for alpine skiing.

Group Configuration

Iceland Heli-Skiing offers various group options. The classic program features 3 groups per helicopter with 4 people per group. The Premium program has 2 groups per helicopter with 4 people per group. The Private program is a group of 4 with 1 helicopter. The exclusive “Ring of Fire” program includes 3 guests in 1 helicopter with 2 guides, allowing for extensive exploration and skiing in remote areas.

Klængshóll Lodge

Situated in the picturesque Skíðadalur Valley, also known as Ski Valley, Klængshóll Lodge will be your home during your stay. This historic sheep farm has been continuously inhabited since the Viking settlement in Iceland around 850 AD. The old farmhouse now serves as our dining area and lounge, while guests enjoy the comfort and luxury of newly built, traditional-style cabins for sleeping. ​​

Amenities

Guests will enjoy the comfort of our newly designed traditional-style cabins, each offering breathtaking mountain views. Each cabin features two separate “apartments,” with an upper loft containing a double bed and a single bed on the main floor. This arrangement allows either a couple to sleep upstairs or one guest to sleep upstairs and one downstairs, ensuring maximum comfort and privacy.

Each apartment is equipped with a bathroom that includes a shower, along with all the amenities of a remote heli-ski lodge. The traditional design adds to the charm, making your stay as comfortable and memorable as possible. The four cabins at Klængshóll can comfortably accommodate up to 16 guests. ​​

Hjalteyri Hotel

Located on the western shores of Iceland's longest fjord, the Hjalteyri Boutique Hotel offers prime access to the best heli-skiing on the Troll Peninsula. Once a quaint fishing village, Hjalteyri has been transformed into an artist haven. The town's unique charm and proximity to outstanding heli-skiing terrain make the Hjalteyri Hotel an ideal getaway. The helicopter, parked right outside the lodge, is ready to whisk you away on an Icelandic skiing adventure.

This hotel is perfect for groups of friends looking for a private Iceland heli-skiing experience. The ground floor features a dining table perfect for shared meals after a long day on the slopes. An outdoor jacuzzi provides the ideal spot to relax and soak your muscles while taking in breathtaking ocean and mountain views. The hotel also offers ample lounge space to unwind and relive the day's adventures.

The hotel offers a total of 8 rooms and suites within its four-story building:

  • Large dining area where breakfast and dinners are served
  • Three standard double rooms (20-25 m²) with ensuite bathrooms
  • Two spacious suites (50 m² / 540 ft²)
  • One two-bedroom suite (90 m² / 970 ft²)
  • One penthouse master suite (100 m² / 1080 ft²) featuring a 360˚ balcony (200 m² / 2150 ft²) with a hot tub
  • Additional outdoor Jacuzzi available for other rooms
