Coast Range offers a variety of options to best suit you, including day trips, private groups, and heli-assisted ski touring. Powder Guides can select the best package to suit your ability, dates, availability, and budget, so you can relax on your holiday and just show up for the snow, knowing you can trust you’ll get the goods.
TERRAIN
Heli skiing Whistler ski terrain ranges in altitude from 4,000 feet to 9,000 feet above sea level, mostly in the alpine, which offers the most consistent accessibility to the best ski and snow conditions. When unable to access the high alpine, there is amazing sub-alpine and tree skiing with ski runs of 1,500 to 2,500 feet in vertical length; often this can be the best powder snow conditions. With 100’s of runs within the 200,000 acres, its fresh track after fresh track. When conditions allow, and all variables are conducive to steeper skiing, you can ski more aggressively if the group is up to the challenge. The primary goal is to find the best powder and ski/board conditions for you and the group.
GROUP CONFIGURATION
Private Heli skiing Whistler skis exclusively in groups of 4 to 5 people, with a maximum of 2 groups per helicopter. With maximum flexibility to fly with fewer people per group, the ski program is easy to manage, which means the highest quality ski experience, and more skiing. While we offer other helicopter configurations within the Powder Guides Program, we strongly support the benefits of the small group programs for our guests.
